Reflected Balloons…
I’m continuing with the images from the balloon ride… probably for a week or so, so I hope you like them! I really was wondering if the red and purple balloon in the bottom corner was in trouble it went so low… but it would have been an exciting ride for the passengers. I love theContinue reading “Reflected Balloons…”
Balloons over Canberra…
With the sun rising and turning the cold dawn into a beautiful morning, ballooning over Canberra was a wonderful place to be. The sun’s rays, the balloons and the wonderful colours make this a beautiful image. Hardware: Canon EOS 1D MlIIN, EF 24-105mm f/4L Exposure: ISO200, 1/1600s @ f/4.5, 24mm Post: Increased black point, sharpening,Continue reading “Balloons over Canberra…”
Fast Food…
I focussed on the toast and set a long shutter speed to blur Damien’s hands. His face isn’t sharp because he’s moved during the exposure, rather than a lack of depth of field. Hardware: Olympus E-P1, 17mm f/2.8 (monochrome in camera)Exposure: ISO200, 1/20s @ f/7.1Post: Crop, increase contrast.
Watching the ball…
Kid’s football is fun to shoot, but use a high shutter speed to freeze the action. Unless you have a high-end late model DSLR, use the centre focussing spot and crop: it will focus faster than the other spots. Hardware: Canon EOS 1D MkIIN, EF 70-200 f/2.8 Exposure: ISO400, 1/640s @ f/8, 200mm Post: crop,Continue reading “Watching the ball…”
Reflected surfer…
The reflection of this child playing on the edge of the surf lifted this shot above the others on the day. Hardware: Canon G7Exposure: ISO unknown, 1/320s @ f/4.8Post: cropped, increased contrast, saturation and sharpness
Aground…
The Pasha Bulker ran aground on Nobby’s Beach, Newcastle, and this is my favorite shot from the morning after the storm. Hardware: Canon EOS 1D MkIIN, 24-105mm f/4L Exposure: ISO400, 1/1000 @ f/6.3, +1EV, 70mm Post: Increase contrast
